Jo Sumi, the first Korean one in being nominated to an Oscar

The singer of opera, Jo Sumi, has turned into the first Korean to be nominated for an Oscar.

Jo Sumi is the interpreter of the song “Simple Song #3”, written and composed by David Lang, for the sound-track of the movie “Youth“ that is released in 2015, and it was nominated for the Best Original Song in “88th Academy Awards”, which has been a big surprise, since the awards Oscars are much known by the polemic, of not giving opportunity to the color persons.

In turn Jo Sumi also would turn into the Korean one first in being present at the ceremony of the awards, Jo Sumi also was nominated in “Golden Globe Award” in the same category, but unfortunately it lost against the song “Writing's on the Wall” of the movie “Spectre“.
