Kodansha and Production I.G., announced that there is a "green light" to begin with a new anime series of Ghost in the Shell by Masamune Shirow. Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Support Alone Complex) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) would be in charge of the series.
