Warner Bros. began releasing new trailers of the live-action '3D Kanojo: Real Girl', based on the homonymous manga written and illustrated by Mao Nanami. The film will be released in Japan on September 14. Tsutomu Hanabusa directs the film.
The manga of romantic comedy began to be published in the magazine Dessert, of the Japanese publishing house Kodansh, in July 2011. It ended in May 2016 after 48 chapters compiled in 12 volumes. The manga has managed to surpass 1 million printed copies. The manga piece inspired an anime adaptation of 12 episodes by director Takashi Naoya, which he produced at the animation studios Hoods Entertainment. The anime will have a second season in January 2019.
