Capcom announced at The Game Awards 2020 event the return to one of its oldest series with a new title called Ghosts' n Goblins Resurrection for Nintendo Switch.

"A beloved franchise is reborn again, with Ghosts' n Goblins Resurrection, marking the heroic return of the series, which debuted 35 years ago. Paying homage to Ghosts' n Goblins and Ghouls' n Ghosts, this game combines the action of the franchise and platformer, with storybook graphics as well as challenging new obstacles.
Ghosts' n Goblins Resurrection will once again follow the brave knight Arthur as he runs, jumps and fights through mysterious levels set in the Demon Realm, an evil fantasy world. Arthur must defeat countless ghoulish enemies in pursuit of him to rescue the princess from the treacherous clutches of the Demon Lord. Brave knights must proceed with extreme caution as terrifying dangers await, including enemies familiar with the Zombies, Assassin Skeleton, Pigman, and Red Arremer, as well as memorable bosses like Cyclops and Shielder.
The game includes familiar weapons from the Ghosts' n Goblins franchise, such as Spear and Dagger, as well as all-new weapons, such as Hammer and Ball with Spikes. Arthur's enhanced arsenal also includes various types of abilities and spells, allowing players to cast spells such as Firewall and Thunderstorm.
Whether he's a lifelong fan or a newcomer, players can decide how dangerous Arthur's journey will be by selecting one of three difficulty modes: Squire, Knight, and Legend. New to the game is Page mode, which allows apprentices to be reborn on the spot with unlimited lives. "
